I completed my undergraduate degree at Indiana University of Pennsylvania earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I completed my graduate studies at Capella University earning a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. I then went on to earn my LPC on April 4, 2023. During my training at Indiana University of Pennsylvania I worked with juveniles in group home facilities as well as completed an internship in a child and family setting mentoring youth. I have worked in various settings with both children and adults over the past 14 years including Therapeutic Staff Support working with children experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges and disabilities. The majority of my experience has been working with adults with addiction backgrounds as well as emotional and behavioral challenges throughout life. I have experiences in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I have experiences working with depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, addiction and strength based approaches to care.
Melissa is open to working with patients ages 14 and older.
She provides telehealth services.
