Elaine LaRose

Elaine LaRose completed her undergraduate studies from Rutgers University with a Bachelor’s Degree in history and religion before completing her Master’s Degree, with honors, from Rowan University in Counseling in Educational Settings. Elaine is also currently under LPC supervision to obtain state licensure. She has had a diverse history within the mental health field, first through a residential counselor position working with inner city boys in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Elaine has extensive experience within the Intensive Behavioral Health Services program (IBHS, formerly known as BHRS) working with children.  She also has worked with adolescents and adults in drug and alcohol programs providing intensive outpatient services at the IOP and Partial Hospitalization levels of treatment through both group and individual settings.

Elaine has experience working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, adjustment disorders, trauma, self-esteem, co-occurring disorders, and substance use. She is especially passionate about working within the LGBTQ+ community and prides herself on providing an inclusive therapeutic space for clients to explore, unpack, and step into their authentic selves, free from judgment.   

 Elaine offers evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Mindfulness. She is also trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma with clients ages 14 and older.
